Intraco Solar Power Ltd. (ISPL) is a prominent renewable energy company in Bangladesh, known for its significant contribution to the country’s sustainable energy sector. On August 27, 2017, ISPL signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for the development of a 30 MW solar project in the northern district of Lalmonirhat.
The solar power plant commenced commercial operations on August 28, 2022, marking a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s journey towards renewable energy. Under the agreement, the government will purchase electricity generated by the plant for a period of 20 years, ensuring a long-term commitment to sustainable energy production.
Since its inauguration, ISPL has consistently supplied power to the national grid, achieving one of the highest Plant Factors in Bangladesh annually. This achievement underscores the efficiency and reliability of the plant’s operations. ISPL’s dedication to excellence in renewable energy has positioned it as a leading player in the country’s efforts to diversify its energy sources and reduce its carbon footprint.
